Perhaps you could post a little more information on your Weimie, like how old is the dog?, gender?, how long have you had him/her?, any recent changes in household?, etc.
Sleep wetting (aka enuresis), can generally be categorized as either organic (i.e., a specific medical problem), or behavioral.
The first thing you would like to rule-out is some organic cause. For example, in older male dogs, it could be a prostate problem. Another cause might be bladder stones, or a chronic urinary tract infection, etc.
Once all organic causes are eliminated, then one could consider behavioral issues. A friend of ours had a dog with this problem, brought on by their eldest child leaving home to go off to college. When the child was home, problem stopped. Eventually, the problem resolved. Sometimes, vets will prescribe anti-anxiety or anti-depression meds short-term if the cause is identified as behavioral in origin.

How old is the dog? This can be a serious medical problem that should be looked into carefully. I had this happen with my Weimeraner when he was 14 years old. His problem went undiagnosed for a while until he got worse. It was a cancer that was the cause and nothing could be done. We also had the same problem with our 8 year old German Short Hair Pointer. She would lick all night to clean herself. Her problem was an inoperable kidney tumor. Our female 9 year old Weimeraner had this in older age and it was just a bladder control problem, so we treated her with Dexatrim without caffeine. I don't remember the dose, but vaguely remember that it was 2 or 3 times a day. It worked for her, but shortly afterwords, she also died of another issue. I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, but it can be a serious issue and should be checked by your veterinarian. Hopefully it is just a bladder control issue or bladder infection. Our cat started consuming lots of water and then he was unable to control himself. We had him tested and found he is diabetic. 2 shots a day and he is fine, now.

Here's a little more info on our male Weimaraner:
Willie is just under 3 years old & we've had him since he was about 9 months old. This did occur once before & we think that it may have been just after he was neutered... can't remember right now for sure. Our vet gave us medication for urinary tract infection and it did go away. 3-4 months ago we did get another dog (our 4th /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif), a female, and Willie does not get along with very well.
If there is a neurotic dog, Willie has always been one. From what has been posted so far, it may very well be behavorial - thank you guys again for all the help already & any further suggestions... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
