I was practicing with the backhoe today. Dug a bunch of trees, starting to get comfortable with it. Decide I want to go up one of my hills to try and grab deep into some brush to see what is there before I drive into it.

I go up the hill, the first part is really steep, I realize my bucket is a bit low, grab the handel to pull it up but accidently take it the other way and I am rolling forward and SNAP... #)(*%$_)(*@#_)(* I guess I will take it to the welder tomorrow...

Also, just so everyone can admire it. Both my Oil guages went out today. Pulled the engine connector and surprise... Also please note no green wire, nor could I find the rest of the wire...

Weird...

$8 for the new barrel and $12 for the welder to cut and put it back together. Welder says it is now better as the original peice was cast?

Glad to hear that it was a cheap fix -- or since it's better than original, do we call it an enhancement? :D :D :D

Sorry about your problems and glad to see the easy fix. Good information for all of us.

Well, stronger anyway. If the part was intended to fracture before something else bent or broke, it might not be 'better'. Since the part is difficult to replace easily, it would seem unlikely to be sacrificial. But then, I only design Power Trac components on TV....
