Hi ! Seasons greeting to everyone.

I have a Dong Feng 254 tractor. I am trying to bleed the fuel system.

On the fuel injector pump....I wonder if anyone knows where is the bleed screw.?

I have attached some pictures of the injector pump assembly.

Many thanks in advance.

The part of the injection pump that is behind the nameplate is the fuel cavity that floods the individual pumps with fuel. The banjo fitting on the left is the fuel inlet from the secondary fuel filter, and the banjo fitting on the right is the return fuel outlet to the tank which also contains the pressure regulating valve. Since the fuel cavity on this pump only holds little more fuel than is what is in the lines it is unnecessary to bleed it separately, just bleed the secondary fuel filter. But if you feel the need to bleed the fuel cavity, loosen the banjo bolt on the right.

Further to my original question....I have a follow on question.

Regarding the fuel injector pump...it has a "dip stick"....how to I drain the pump oil and then replenish with new oil.....is there a drain plug?

Once again guys many thanks in advance.

I used to fix fighter Jets...but my chinese tractor challenges me :)

You're going to have to dumb down here then. Think like you're working on Orville & Wilbur's plane.
Your injection pump may be like mine - no drain - I have to suck it out through the dipstick tube (not a big deal using a syringe or turkey baster). Remove the mushroom vent to fill or go back through the dipstick tube, it doesn't take much. Use engine oil. Fill to mark on dipstick. Do not overfill as it could damage the governor.

Any air in the injector hard-lines will have to be bled by loosening the fitting on each injector and cranking the engine to purge the air... As far as the primary side you may need to purge air from the top of the fuel filter housing but the air from the housing itself should self purge...

I have the DF 354 , 2.54 l. 4cyl. I have the Chang Chai engine. Yours is I assume the 3 cyl. On my injection pump, I have a small drain plug on the bottom. May be hard to see. I change the oil yearly through the dipstick. I can look or take a pic if you need.
