We have a Dongfeng tractor Model 204. It has broke down and we are trying to locate a service manual for it. We have had no luck thus far. Anyone out there know where I can one.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no service manuals for any chinese tractor, possible exception is that I heard norther tool may have written one for the JInmas. MOst maintenance information is in the owners manual (clutch adjusment, differential gear clearance, etc) the parts books show "exploded views" so you can see how things come apart (mechanical aptitude assumed). There is usually a troublshooting page.
I guess before I said all this, what broke? Also I think your tractor has a Yangdong Y380 engine, same as many 20 and 22hp Jinmas use. There is no AgTrac equivelant to the DF204 so our ability to help will be limited, but will do what we can.

Have you looked for a Lenar dealer in your parts of the woods. They have a 204 model for sale. Just a thought.

We are getting desperate. I am not exactly sure what is wrong with the tractor. My husband is the grease monkey, I am the computer geek. Will ask him and let you know what is actually wrong with it.

Hello, Chip from Artrac here. As I said, I have never seen a true service manual for a chinese tractor. the parts book and owners manual that come with the tractor are pretty much it, the engine will have its own books. I'll check and see if I have any 204 manuals, I don't stock or sell that tractor, but I did order a box of manuals to have spares and I noticed several manuals for taskmaster and other models included... I'll check Monday.
It would help us to help if we knew what "broke down" ment. Is it not running? running but not moving? etc....
