Don't tell my wife

Few years ago this schmanzy water spigot broke in our little bathroom. It would just leak when closed. I did the quick and dirty fix and shut the hot water off and since I don't care for hot water to wash my hands, that's the way it stayed.
I was under an impression that the fancy schmanzy thing will not have parts available. This weekend I tried to JBWeld that piece of plastic to finally fix it - but JBWeld did not stick to it.
I went to plan B and took the whole thing to Home Depot and to my surprise, I found the needed part right away - 9 bucks later and the hot water is available again in the powder room.

As I said, don't tell my wife - I am the hero now, but I feel bit stupid, if you know what I mean

For every one "heroic" fix we make, I think they have one too. It all equals out
I'm keeping a mental note of the stupid things I've done - only to be praised for fixing it. It's a long long list :ashamed:

My wife has been bugging me to install a lighted mirror in our bathroom, that she bought for herself for Christmas.

I'm not looking forward to it and have been putting it off.

Only took about 3 years before I installed the supplemental heater she wanted in there

You know - what is it with females and bathrooms? All i care for in there is good catalog - midway or grizzly or cabelas - or internet connection.
Females decorates bathrooms and fuss over cleaning. Places i took shower at military my wife would not touch with sterile pool.

:laughing: What about those towels that are just for looks, can't use them to dry anything, but she still washes them :confused2:

That's what gets me. You get out of the shower. You're all clean. You only use the trowel to dry the water off. So why do you need to wash it ? ? ?

Do you use a rubber float trowel, finishing trowel, v-notch trowel, or something else? :laughing:
