Great glad it worked out.
I am happy to report my tractor has been returned and was fixed to my satisfaction with a new housing. The total cost was $3972.xx. It took 112 hours of labor in the shop to fix it. The dealer delivered the tractor right after it was repaired before I had paid anything. This week they got the check from the insurance written to both of us. I went in to the dealer today and signed the check and paid my 500.00 deductible. It has been so nice having my baby back.
My tractor was also able to redeem itself after getting drug off the hill by a little Kubota the day it broke. The first day I had it back my neighbor got his Kubota stuck in the mud and I was able to pull it out.
Overall I am very happy with the John Deere insurance and the process.
That seems like allot of labor. If it truly was that much, your dealer won't be in business much longer at a 35 dollar an hour shop rate...even less because I'm sure that was a pretty pricey part too.The total cost was $3972.xx. It took 112 hours of labor in the shop to fix it..
I'd bet that is NOT 112 hours - more like 11.2.
