I have a large plastic tool box that I've had for twenty years now just for carrying my welding hood. It keeps them from getting broken and it keeps them dry. Well, it used to keep them dry.
A couple of weeks ago I used the tool box for a work bench, just to drill a couple of three sixteenths holes in some plate.
I haven't used the hood in a week or so and today when I opened the tool box there was an inch of water sloshing around the bottom. The hood, Miller Digital Elite that I won a couple of years ago, water also sloshing in the lens.
I can't find just the cartridge. LWS suggested leaning on Miller since I am who I am and they gave me the hood for winning a contest. I can't in good conscience do that, part of being who I am.
So if anyone knows where I can get just the cartridge I would appreciate a lead. I have a Jackson top of the line with most of the features of the Elite, but it isn't as good as the Miller and it's always had issues at times. My favorite standby is an old Selstrom but it doesn't have the cut or grind options that I find so handy with the Jackson and the Miller. And, big and, I really don't want to spend $350.00 for a new helmet. I've already got to go find a new tool box to replace the one my favorite dummy ruined.
