I have a 4110 and a bush hog 60 in finish mower. Was considering a belly mower. All I have to mow is about 6 ac of pasture which is always fairly low...6 inchs. Really front lawn.

What are the downsides of a belly mower?

They are difficult to put on and off. Other than that, I can't think of a downside. I use the 72" mid mount mower on my 4300

Trees or objects to navigate around?? Belly mower is easier. Nicest cut available. Sure is easier putting on a 3pt mower, though. I vote belly. I use 72" midmount.

They cut nice and some are easy to get on and off. I have the 72D Autoconnect - Literally a minute or two to take on and off, as long as everything is adjusted correctly and lined up. Very easy to trim around trees, etc. I replaced a 72" 3PT finish mower and have no regrets.

This is a 7 yr old or so 4110 so I don't know how easy it is on and off. Will have to talk to the dealer. Cost might be another factor.

They aren't too bad to take off. I have a 72" on my 2520. Works best if you have a concrete area you can roll it out on. I can have it off in 10 minutes or less after the first time or two figuring it out. Just need to turn 3 of the gauge wheels half a turn and pull the pins on the 4th one and remove it. rolls right out from under the tractor with ease then.

My two cents... it all depends on the property you're mowing, your particular tractor/attachment system and what elese you use the tractor for. On my tractor, a 955, removing/installing the MMM is a bit of a pain and I don't have a nice flat concrete area to do it. That coupled with using the tractor for loader/dirt work, backhoe work, grading... I'd have to take the remove/install the MMM deck one to two times a week. For these reasons, I went with an RFM. The downside of the RFM is there are just some places I cant get to with it and still have to use my smaller tractor with a MMM to trim.

What size tires do you run on your unit? I am considering getting a used 72D Auto-Connect deck for my 3520, but I may have to switch back to my original tires R4s, instead of my, stable, R3 Turk Special tires. I am hearing the right rear castor is the problem - its a clearance issue for the Turf Specials.

I am running the standard R3 tires. My dealer advised me that the R3 Turf Special tires would not clear the deck.
