I'm over what I think was the hardest part, the dealer I felt comfortable with. As for the model still between b7500/b2410, but leaning 7500 (will allow some funds to buy a trailer). The hang up now is the backhoe. Go with the KB or look at others and maybe save a few $$. I noticed Great Bend has a frame support available now, any input guys? I know about the pto mounted pump, but is power beyond an option? Thanks in advance. I can't wait to be a tractor owner so I can have someon hook me up with one of thoses neat tractor icons, ha, ha.

Rich, I have seen several Great Bend's on different Kubotas, and did not like how they were set up compared to the Kubota. They just were not as handy.. They may have worked fined, as I did not work any to compare. But from what I have seen I would go with Kubota, Woods or Barco

Recently saw the Woods (6500? - I think /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif) on a B7500. Looks like they were "made for each other". Our dealer was impressed too. He thought the Woods setup was superior to the Kubota BH. Take a look if you can./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

RICH: wondering why u need a trailer? if u intend to do commercial work, neither tractor will stand up to it using a backhoe.. the 3pt backhoes are ok for light work around the house and yard. i have a b2400 and would think hard before doing any serious work with the hoe. if u are going to do any serious hard work with it get the bigger tractor ! don't want to hurt the baby/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif seriously , think hard on what u expect for your machine. either tractor 7500 or 2410 are great machines.

Frank, I don't plan to use it commercialy. But I may do some light work in other places. The dealer did recomend the 2410 more for backhoe use and also recomended the woods hoe with frame support for landscapers doing light work. By the way, have you ever measured the overall length of yours with the hoe? Thanks for your input.

Frank, boy it is not hard to need a trailer. My little Kubota does get to ride at least once a month.. I have more than one peice of property.. Not to mention I guess that I do some light work for a friend every now and then. Plus once I get a tractor working I am always moving material, building or otherwise about as often as I move the tractor. In fact, when I brought my tractor I need a trailer then because it did not come from a dealer... (I did not have one at the time, that is were that friend comes in, I always owe someone, something.) It is great to have good neighbors.

Glueguy, Called the dealer to look deeper into the Woods BH. It comes out to a total of $615, mostly for the $400 support frame. He did tend to think if there was an extra $615 hanging around the extra advantages would be worth it (I think I do too) He also did doubt if I could kill the KB BH. Boy, I'm very, very close now. Thanks again.
