Deere has the 4000 TWENTY manuals online now! Should be great reading!

But look out! in a little while, the TEN series might get taken down. (same thing happened the last model change...) So, even if you've bookmarked them, you might want to download a copy.

The paper manual is great, but there are times when the electronic version is hard to beat.

Ok Mike, your Texican buddy Kyle here, how do you download the manual to "save it". I can get it on screen, and it says on another page available in .pdf files, but it doesn't seem to offer to download.
I have it hard copy anyway, but just a bit confused, what's your secret????

Ok, this works up here in the USA:

Open the manual. Choose File and Save as... It will have an OMxxjibberish name, give it a useful name and save... Hope this helps!!!

The on-line manuals appear to be in HTML format and not PDF. When I used the file save as, it downloaded the page I was viewing in the manual. When I selected anything in the manual it goes back to the Deere WEB site for those pages. I could tell this by looking in the address windows in IE. It showed I was back at the Deere site.

To get the entire manual it appears to me you would need to view each page in the manual and save each one. To test this with dial-up one could download as suggested and disconnect from there ISP and test the manual.

Thanks for the link Mike. My usual Deere site entry point no longer brings up the manual - just the part numbers for the various manuals. Strange web site at times.

There is a 'Print" link on the main manual 'menu'. It might be possible to 'print' using a pdf generator as the print device - then you'd have it in pdf format. Unfortunately - I have high speed at work but no pdf software - and dial up at home (with the pdf software!) /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif.

I have Acrobat Pro on my PC. I tried the print function on the manual page to a PDF file. It only created a PDF with the 2 pages I was viewing. :-(

I next tried the print from WEB page to PDF option in Acrobat Pro. I set it to pull from the entire site. It took awhile but I think I have a PDF file now for the 4210,4310,4410 manual. I tested it and all the content seems to be there. I going to try it next for the 430 loader and 48 hoe that I have.
