Something else about the on-line manuals. If the model of your tractor is replaced with a newer model often the links to the manual are no longer there. This doesn't mean the manual isn't still out there. The link is just not visable. For example I was able to find the manual for the 4710. Here is what I did.
Go to this JD site. Link might wrap so you might need to paste it together.

Enter you model number and look up the manual number for your tractor.
Go to this site which is a directory index for all manuals. Find the directory for your manual. Go into that folder and there is another folder called output. Inside that folder is a file called index.html. Double click on that and you should see your manual which you can then bookmark.
