I have been a stranger on this forum for quite some time.
I am ready to downsize my intense toy.
I have a 4wd JD 1435 60 inch front mower, MCS 600 high dump collection system, Curtis cab, 60 inch snowblower, 60 inch broom all made for this machine. In 2005 I swapped engines upping the hp from 24 to 36 (yanmar diesel.)
I have used the machine for a total of 380 hours over 10 years, and it has always been stored inside my shed.
I use it for the heavy oak leaves and snow. Occasionally I will use the broom for de-thatching.
For mowing I picked up a great little exmark ZTR with a protero power-flow.
I've gotton to the point, after two back surgeries and my age that I would prefer to have automatic hookups and consolidate into one unit. The deere components are very, very heavy duty and are heavy. All the maneuvering is done manually and it is all on wheels.
I think I will try to sell everything and go with a JD X739, 4wd/4ws, snowblower, 60 inch deck, and 3 bag powerflow. I would get a tracvac wagon for the high volume leaf collection. I don't need a high dump set-up anymore.
Any thoughts? Please chime in.
Anyone interested in my equipment, please private message me. I have gotton all the bugs out and she works like a charm!!
Thank you. I tried to attach a photo.

I currently have an x749 4x4ws with an MC519 cart which is easy to dump. Have not added front attachments of any kind but have this to say about your situation. While changing the attachments can be problematic when we all get older changing equipment can be worse. I recommend you simply find someone to help with the attachments you have as needed. You can loose a ton of money swapping out machines that are not as good as what you have or you can get a "helper" and put him on speed dial and face the fact that you will need help with other things to on occasions. Having a helper from time to time is the cheapest way to maintain your independence still getting things done whan you wan't.

I mentiom the x749 because it works pretty well for my needs but like all machines nothing is perfect, removing the mower deck and or adding attachments still has some drudgery. I use an IMatch for rear implements but to install the MC519 I have to remove the hitch components first. There is always a fly in the ointment and while It only takes a few minutes to swap out (ten minutes) there are limitation on all of this stuff.

My point is you can hire alot of help for what you could loose in the trade.

Great advice. A trade would be costly but if I could save my back, it is priceless! I will go to the dealer and see for myself the amount of work needed to move this stuff around.

I agree with you entirely, but my problem is that I still seem to want to do too many things myself. For me, it is often easier to just go ahead and do it than to show somebody what I want done and then show them how to do it.
