That's a nice pic there of your crawler now all you need to do is get some actions photos tearing something apart or pushing a mound. ha.ha Goodluck

xat.com image optimizer. it allows larger clear pictures but cuts down on the bytes needed. I think it reduces the amount of info in the sections of the foto that don't have as much detail. here it is easy to get a good picture because of the allowance for 200,000 bytes. over on the forestry forum they only allow 15,000 so normally the pictures i tried to post were very small. the optimizer changed that. so as you can see from my dozer pix they are larger and very clear.

the dozer is a 1965 case 310g. 90 horse power deisel, though a friend who also has one says it's not 90 caterpillar horse power. i bought it 10 years ago from an excavation contractor who used it hard when he first started out in business. he went throught it for a total rebuild even including decals. it is a fine machine for its age and size, and the four in one bucket is real handy. the counter weight on the back weighs 1 ton. and yes the red on the left is the new fel quick attach for my kioti if i just find the time to insall it.

Bet that little mule comes in handy on your 85 acres orchard spread.
Just wondering whats that other piece of equipment behind the dozer. /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif
Have a good day and watch out for this nasty storm coming today.

Great photo! Good work.

Just curious, why is the bucket sitting like it is, pitched forward, sitting on the teeth? There was a discussion about this a while ago.

Woody, great picture of a great machine... That one has really been taken care of... I know most the rest of of us on the board are envious of the amount of work it can do.... I do not believe that it is a 90 hp thought. The most recent 500 series cawler is only rated 67 hp, most likely closer to 45-50 hp...

the allowance for 200,000 bytes

I think the current limit is 150K, but you made it anyway.

That XAT stuff looks interesting, and it obviously does a good job. Something all Windoze-based TBN'ers should be interested in.

Too bad you don't live a tad closer, Woody. I have a number of chores that would be a lot easier with your dozer.

Just guessing as to Woody's intentions, but
I'd expect it was to keep water/snow from
accumulating in the bucket when it rains or snows.
