Draft lever mounted gun fighter type switching handle

Anyone done this mod on they're tractor? Or maybe your tractor came with this type of control.
I recently added a electric chute rotator set up on my rear mount snowblower. For now I am using the rocker switch handle that came with the 1200# winch. It works but it is chintsy & cumbersome. I have seen others install a nice 4 way joystick to control the chute rotator & chute deflector. I have two problems with this idea.
1. I really don't have great place to mount a joystick where it won't be in the way or get trashed in the Summer.
2. Usually whenever I need to drop my blower to make another run, that is when I need to rotate the chute also so my hand is already right there.

I was thinking of hacking off the handle that is there, welding on a piece of pipe, & installing something like this>

Then in th efuture maybe I could use it to control other things like a tilt & tip setup.

for temporary controls, I had a baler that had a electric control and it came with the same type of wedge mount that the SMV signs have, and the socket mount stays on the tractor, SMV Mounting Socket w/ Hardware - GEMPLER'S but the other can be removed in a second or two, and it is secure when mounted,

the bracket on the switch was heaver, and just the part that went into the socket, and was spaced out from the box,

but this could give you the freedom to remove it when not using it,
regardless of the type of switch you end up with,
