No problems, but I am draining ALL fluids on my 2200. I just want to change them since I never have during the last 10 yrs that I have had the tractor. We'll call this preventative maintenance.

My question is, on the lines running to the hydraulic pump, they are lower than the reservoir. Should I disconnect the bigger line that goes to the pump to insure full drainage? I will have to take the bottom plate off of the pump since it looks like the line is made into plate, doesn't look to screw off. Would you Yammer experts fill me in on how to get full drainage and what to expect if I pull the plate? Is anything going to fall out or is this pretty easily accomplished?

This is the suction line so I don't think it will be critical as far as resealing when I re-install line. Will silicone work as the sealer or do I need a new gasket?

does this tractor have the rubber splice hose on the return line ? If so why not just take the return loose there?? I don't think there would be enough fluid in the lines to worry about.

It does not have a rubber splice hose so I guess it's never been drained before. That makes more sense than taking the pump apart.

After letting it set for 5 yrs I pulled it in the shop and drained it before starting. I think a new battery would be all it needed to start but wanted to drain it BEFORE churning all the sludge and crap back into the system. I even drained the diesel fuel.

I got a lot of water out of the tranny/rear end. Some sludge and a little water out of the hydraulics but rear had a lot of water. And it is still sitting there with plugs out getting everything to drain. I did the same to my Ferguson 35 and it really surprised me how much bottom sludge drained out by letting it sit for days.
