whatsup fellas?i have a new jd 5203 and it has a 18 gallon diesel tank.i bought it because i have 65 acres of land with 50 acres in pasture that i thought i needed to bushhog.that was my intention, well low and behold 2 weeks after i purchased the tractor and bushhog a fella calls me and wants to rent/lease my land from me to put cattle on.well i rented it to him and it turns out that i won't be running my tractor as much as i had thought.so it will be sitting sometimes for weeks to a month without cranking.so to my question,i read in my owner's manual that you should drain the water and sediment off of the tank and fuel filter if it sets for a while.what is the key time period that i should shoot for before i drain some fuel from the bottom of the tank?and how do you know when to turn it off?i am using dyed off road diesel in it,so will the water be clear and the diesel fuel red?
thanks,
