The manuals for my 1900 say it has 87.2 c.i ,22 draw bar hp and 26.5 pto hp. When looking at specs. for other tractors I noticed they changed from drawbar to engine hp.(example) The 1725 has 81 ci, 28 engine hp and 25 pto hp. This seems to make quite a difference in hp. When trying to choose an implement like a box blade this makes a difference. Is there a formula to convert from on to the other. When a implement manufacturer lists a hp rating is he using drawbar or engine hp.

Most of the ones I see list engine and PTO hp ratings. You have to ask mfg for drawbar ratings at least in the under 100hp class.

Coming from a farming background, pto hp is the most common standard, and the one I would use. Drawbar hp is hard to know on small tractors esp, Nebraska doesn't regulate them.....

What in implement manufaturer is actually thinking is hard to guess, of course. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
