I bought a drawbar and drawbar lock for my B2400. See DB419 and DBL2 products
at http://www.unionfarmequip.com/store/linkage/drawbars.html
Unfortunately, I cannot get the drawbar lock on properly. The lock has a round
hole. You have to unscrew the turnbuckle that connects to the lift arm and thread
the "linkage" through the round hole. Then, you can slip the drawbar through
the rectangular hole.
The problem is that once the lock is attached to the lower lift arm, the rectangular
hole is not in a position that you can threat the drawbar through it. It seems like
it is too short.
I talked to someone at the dealership who said that DBL2 is only for L class Kubotas.
He offered to customize my drawbar so that it would attach to the top link, and also
would have a 2-inch reciever, much the same as 3pt attachment from northern tool
http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=6970&langId=-1&catalogId=4006970&PHOTOS=on&TEST=Y&productId=7767&categoryId=0
He said he would charge me $75 for the modifications.
I have a couple of questions. Anyone out using the DBL2 drawbar lock on their
"B" series Kubotas?
Is the $75 a reasonable deal? If I can get a drawbar lock, I'll probably do that, as it is
cheaper. I don't switch out read implements often, so the ease of taking off the drawbar
with only three pins is not a huge factor.
Your thoughts and comments are appreciated!
