Here's an item that is easy to build and will allow you to use the top link on a 2-point drawbar for E-Z trailer pickup and moving. I used 1" square tubing, 1/16" wall, and a couple large bolts and nuts I had laying around and some 1/16' angle. I used a cutoff saw set to 22.5 degrees to cut the mitred cuts, welded them up, and then used the cutoff saw to split the ends of the tubing to accept the two bolts. I used a table vise to pinch the ends of the tubing around the two bolts, then welded the bolts into the tubing through the cuts made with the cutoff saw. I cut two pieces of angle to make the connector for the top link pin, then drilled both with a hole saw the same diameter as the pin. There was a clearance problem with the top link, i.e. the angle did not provide enough clearance for the top link end by itself, so I used 2 scrap pieces of 1 " tubing to provide the necessary clearance. I finished up the project with 2 coats of gray primer and 2 coats of black paint. The 2 bolts simply go thru 2 holes in the drawbar, a 2 " ball gets bolted in the middle hole, and you end up with nice attachment that will pick up a trailer, move it, and then drop it, all without the driver ever having to leave his seat. I will try to get a picture of the complete attachment showing the drawbar on the back of a tractor and pulling a trailer.
