Glad they figured out the problem! :)

My local dealer found that my "hand lever accelerator" was faulty. He called Kioti about it got them to cover the cost of the part under warranty. My 2 year general parts warranty had expired in September. I have to eat the diagnostic work and labor to replace it. The part is just under $500.00. The part should be in this week.
Good news,glad to hear this..

Glad to hear they found the issue, think this is about the second throttle unit I’ve read about going bad. I seen you mentioned in your other thread about the possibility of being exposed to the weather being a issue, I too wonder about that.

June of 2009 - I'm in at the local Kubota dealer. The salesman, my good friend of some 25 years took me aside and said - if you are really serious about this upgrade deal - DO IT NOW. This would be the very last M6040 they would ever be getting. The next ones on the lot would be the M6060 early-tier 4. I looked at him and said - Jim is this a sales pitch or are you being my friend. He indicated that based upon what he had heard - he didn't want to even know me if I waited and bought one of the first brand new M6060.

Sixteen months later and seeing - hearing all the stories about the early M6060 - I bought he and his wife dinner at the best steak house in town. Now that kind of salesman is what we should all expect and pay due respect to.

I don't know much about any of the other brands but it certainly seems that the local Kubotas had their fair share of problems with the early tier 4 units.

OH, aren't nice modern tractors (machinery) great.
So simple to diagnose as long as you have $1000. of software and a laptop (and understand all that).
And that is providing the dealer licenses you to use their software.
But then also you probably need to have on hand another $1-2 K of modules to trouble shoot.

Hey, what can that new 2018 tractor do that our old 8N's could not do.
Guess that's progress!

Smart move on your part and a great salesperson. Unfortunately I was not in the market for a new tractor until 2 years ago. A friend did suggest trying to find a pre-teir 4 machine. There were no new ones left anywhere that I could find. I didn't want a used machine that may have ghost problems from a previous owner.

Thanks for posting the solution. Might come up again for another user/owner.

Glad to hear they were able to diagnose it. Hopefully this solves the issue. Nice of Kioti to cover the parts cost even out of warranty. I'm sure you'll be happy to get your machine back and get it back to work.

I too hope this fixes the problem. I'll be happy to get it back home. The ground is frozen now and I have a lot of trees to bring down to my wood pile for cutting and splitting. I really enjoy using this tractor as it does the job so easily.
