Current lineup is;
John Deere 950 4wd- no loader, box blade, York rake, pond scoop, single plow, bush hog.
Jd 265 with a 10p cart 48 deck (and an extra 265 parts tractor)
Gravely with rototiller attachment
Frankenstein David Bradley 2 wheel with a predator motor, cultivators, potatoe plow etc.
Undead bolens push mower that is 10 years old without an oil change and starts first pull no matter what
I use all of the above fairly regular. Im planning on keeping the David Bradley becuase it will be hard to replace but would like to combine the other 3 into one.
Usage is weekly mowing of 1.5 acres (currently the 265) Then another 10 acres is grazed but needs mowed a few times a year to keep weeds down (currently the 950)
Grading and snow plowing a 1000 gravel drive (currently 950 with boxblade)
Scrapping out manure from barn (950 with the box blade or rake)
And odd jobs.
So Im considering selling both the 265 and 950 for a ventrac/Steiner type unit. I知 thinking Ill need a finish mower and rough mower? at least the tip bucket if not loader, 3 point, and a York rake.
The mowing I know it will handle and I wouldn遞 mind a 60 deck my usage I can touch up what it cant reach with a push mower.
How would it do with bushhoging the remaining 10 acres a few times a year. The cattle munch it down but the weeds can get high and thick. How do the rough cut mowed compare to a medium duty bush hog? No more trimming 3-4 trees with it?
And the driveway 1000 of grading and it is one long hill. Will I have the traction to grade and snow plow that much?
Which of my implements can it hand with the 3 point?
Pipe dream?
I barely use the 950 maybe 2
50 hours a year seems like a waste but even a heavier garden tractor can遞 ha sleep those jobs. Will a Steiner?
