Mowing Drive over mower decks for 3000 series

The 60D and 72D AutoConnect mid-mount mower decks are now on the John Deere web site. My dealer said they aren't accepting orders till the 6th of October.

Well if they would have had these available for order about 5 months ago, I probably would have purchased one. They must be a lot heavier than the original 7 iron. they also cost a bit more. The cost for plastic ramps is a lot less!

WOW.. what a price.. I think my 62d (for a 2320) was in the $2400 range... But that is quite a jump in price..

BUT the drive over deck is very, very nice.. Its so easy to install the mower

For a few K more you could get a zero turn with the 7 iron deck.

I even saw a couple of used 777's on sale for around the same price with only 300 hours on them. Somebody got them, quick.

This deck would also have to work with my Turf Specials, and it seems it is spec'ed for R3 and R4's but the 7 iron deck is not spec'ed for my Turf Specials and they sure work on my unit without any issues.

My 62D is a breeze to take on/off - BUT im sure these will be bigger/heavier.. Tops it takes 5 min on/off, but just getting the PTO attached can take longer than that at times.. LOL

If i need the mmm off for just a short time use, I drop it in the yard and do what I need. Then hook back up before I head back into the garage.. for longer storage I made a set of axles so it stands upright and out of the way..

The reason I made that statement is because my tractor is in the field almost everyday. I could not have a MMM on when doing thos tasks. So I would have to put it on each time I needed to mow. Not something I want to do, and for the price, I do not want to pay for it either.

The price is about twice what i paid for my MMM used in perfect shape.

Plus like Thatguy said, that deck has got to be heavier than the already heavy 7 iron deck!
