Drive shaft repair question?

I have a drive shaft that has came apart at the yoke that attached to bush hog. The 4 way joint & bearings are missing. Is this something I can buy at TSC and repair myself? Or do I need to take & have pressed in. ?

You might get lucky at TSC especially if you know what you're doing, they may have the right size. Probably not. The repair itself isn't terribly hard, usually you can tap the cross and journal in without a press, but getting the exactly right parts at TSC when you have a 17 year old girl "helping" you isn't always a recipe for success. These parts aren't outrageously expensive. You might be better off going to the bush hog store or to a bearing specialty shop if there's one around ; they should fix you up with the right size and either do it on the cheap or show you how. Hope that the yoke wasn't screwed up when the parts let go.

The yoke looks ok. It was using the bush hog at 1000 rpm in heavy brush by po

G'day take it to a brg shop and get them to have a look Usually you will find if the cross and caps are missing then there will be damage to the yoke it does not take much to twist or spread the yoke and the uni joint will not fit properly.

The people at TSC are very proud of their drive shafts. We broke one and I did an online search for land pride parts. I went through a third party but it was shipped directly from land pride at a reasonable price.
You could also look online at northern tool, they seem to have good prices on their shafts also.
