Need help, I just removed the bushings on the spindle housing and installed the new ones (FYI it is a PITA). My questions is, the bushings are too big to let the spindle go in the housing, since the top of the spindle (were the bracket goes to turn the tire) is larger then the bushings. The problem is where the bushings actually go on the shaft, once installed they should be fine. So should I have have the top of the spindle turned down or bore out the bushings??? If I bore out the bushings than I might end up with a loose front end. If I mess up the spindle than they are about 200 new, have not priced used, but the used ones are most likely the same as mine. FYI it looks like this tractor was never greased.
