I think I'm going to drop the snow chains Saturday.

I'm trying to be optimistic.:)

Mud season is in full swing so it's a good time to put the battery on for a good charge.

Can't do much tractorwise without making ruts.

So how much snow did you have this winter? Around here in Seattle we have had some light snow showers the last couple of days. But if we get 2" of snow you would think it was a major crisis the way these folks drive. We did end up with about 18" over a few days around Christmas.

Around here, (about 75 miles NE of you,) we got somewhere between 7 and 9 feet. Another couple of inches this morning but all gone by mid-afternoon.

OntheSauk Beautiful area up there. At least you folks don't panic when there is a few inches on the ground.

Tree: We've gotten our average of about 60" give or take. It's melting fast and everything is saturated. The groundwater table is very high.

hr3: I hear you about the trees. I dropped a bunch last fall and need to skid them in when it dries up.
I like the Curtis snowplow. It's a 6.5 width. You definitely need to get used to a loader mounted plow. It will try and push your front end over when angled. I use the steering brakes to compensate and lift up slightly to put more weight on the front. Also, I removed 2 of the 4 trip springs because it was too stiff.
It does not like to plow uphill.:(
Overall though, I am pleased with it.

Thomas: It takes us a long time to dry out. Soils perc slow and are not as good as over your way.

Chuck, Where in NH are you? I'm in the Upper Valley area, over near Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH. I live in Enfield which is about 15 miles south east of Hanover. I work at Dartmouth... Roger
