Well my little engine that could just fell victim to the torrential rains we had here in Texas a couple weeks back. The tractor got washed into my pond and was submerged for about 2 hours before I could haul it out. What steps should I take before I try to start it? Should I drain all the fluids and remove glow plugs to blow out any water? I am unsure of what to do to try to save it.

I would drain all fluids and replace them. I might refill first with diesel to help flush out any water then drain the diesel. Make sure there is no water in the the cylinders because water doesn't compress like air and something has to give. Since it wasn't running when it took a swim permanent damage likely hasn't happened yet.

Thanks for the input, I will follow your advice. I have picked up oil and hydraulic fluid for the transmission and will give it a go this weekend. I am assuming that if I pull the glow plugs that is one way to expel water from the cylinders or is there another way? Thanks

In addition to everything else said, I would also purge the fuel lines (in addition to the fuel tank -- which I assume you already know). You don't want any water going through the injection pump.

This is a very interesting issue here. I am excited to hear how this turns out. With proper care before trying to start it -- which it appears you are doing -- this Kubota might fair quite well...

I guess I should have asked if it was a diesel? I automatically assumed it was... until I hit "post".

He said it had glow plugs.

drain the axle(s) too.

after pulling the glow plugs , pour in some diesel into the cylinders before rolling it over ( lubes the walls and rings in case there was any rust ) ... try turning by hand in case there is a lot of water in there ( ratchet and socket on crank bolt )

it will get pushed out when you spin the engine ... then spin the engine for 15-20 seconds with the starter , to help re-lube the crank and journals ....then replace the glow plugs ....

As a wild teen my outboard motor jumped off of my boat probably a dozen times or so.
Advice was to pull plugs, crank a few times to blow out any ingested water, empty carburetor, prime and start and run real hot to dry out innards.
Later on B4 selling that motor I opened it up thinking I'd best inspect carefully for problems.
That engine was like new inside!

Drain, change fluids and run her hot to evaporate any water trapped inside and you should be good to go.
