dual gauge wheels??

I know many have made their own gauge wheels for a blade or rake. I would like to ask what the angle of the wheels is to slant them back.
Also any thoughts on how two wheels on each side would react. They would be 10 in tires with the axle support in the middle For a total of 4 wheels. two on each shaft..
Seems like it should"t work. I'm not sure if ,when one wheel hits a rock etc if it would cause it to turn the whole axle. causing wobble.
I don't think anyone has attempted the two wheel idea yet. I'm hoping it isn't because it doesn't work.

I used 30° which I got by measuring my BushHog and RFM casters.
Note that I have subsequently heard of 2 references to mounting the wheel flat, ie, no 30° angle but have a horizontal (dog leg) piece that simply puts the centerline of the wheel behind the centerline of the vertical pivot ... guessing 4-6" behind.

I can't imaging a prob with using pairs of the 10" wheels, though they may take longer to spin from forward to reverse mode of scuff a bit more on tight turns.

I have also made several forks assemblies for other TBN'ers.

The angle of the wheels is slightly less than 30 degrees but almost any angle less than 45 degrees should work. I used 13" wheels as I found 10" to be too small.

Well I finally got the dual gauge wheels I spoke of a few weeks ago done. I will attach some pictures . I had originally welded a piece on snow blade to the rake to extend outward. And used a piece of 1 ½ pipe for a sleeve. I them made some swivel brackets and it had one wheel on each side. I used a 13 inch wheel at the time. When I tested it the wheel would go violently into a wobble. And it would sometime go completely sideways. I abandoned that idea and have gone without them for 4 years. Then I got to searching here and found some ideas.
I used the 10 inch (el cheapo) wheels from Harbor Freight. ($3.99) because I had them. I believe is was MAD who suggested 13 inch wheels. I am just now ordering four of them. I think they will be better than what I have now.
This was certainly a low end job.
The wheels don’t wobble anymore. I think this is because I used a 30 degree angle as people have suggested here. My previous had a lot less of an angle. I still get a small bit if wander to them, and I think I may make a drag link for them , as another poster suggested. Not sure if that would make them even better or not, but it shouldn’t be a big thing to make.
What a difference it makes though. And I strongly recommend the hyd top link. I made one last year with ideas from the forum. It can really make the wheel adjustment so much easier and from the seat.
