massey ferg 1030
Hi im new to this site... im having trouble with my compact massey ferg 1030 with dual stage clutch, split tractor and installed new clutch(engine clutch disc worn out) got new disc and installed, transmission/engine works normal...when i engage the pto the shaft spins, but when i hook it to my backhoe attach it stops(acts like pto clutch slipping) tried adjusting pto adjusting bolts and still doesnt work....pto worked fine prior to tearing apart, not sure if i adjusted clutch wrong??? could clutch fingers have anything to do with it? not sure what to do?? help would be greatly appreciated

This thread is a couple months old so you may have gotten your answer but there is a definite procedure for setting both the clutch fingers and the PTO clutch clearance. I would suggest a 50 to 60 thousandths clearance on the PTO clutch instead of the 90 thousandths recommended however. See the site below for some excellent instruction on adjustment.

Massey Ferguson | Pressure Plate Settings

Hope this helps
