duals on 8560

I picked up and 8560 mahindra with 400 hrs on it the other day for 9k. Now I'm wondering if it would be feasible to dual the rears up. I'm going to be playing in a wetland, swampy type area, they would be more for floatation rather than traction. No standing water, but it can get real mushy real quick. I'm going to get stuck and have plans to get unstuck when it happens but i'm wondering if duals would beneficial. 16.9x30

Duals do help with flotation but they can also load up with mud if they are not spaced far enough apart and then they are just like driving on 55 gal barrels, smooth with no traction. We had band type duals with around 5" space between the mains and duals and these would load up in nice sticky mud.

It should work. I ran duals on a MF 178 for many years on hills. The tyre size was the same or similar. Tractor was very stabil and going through bogs made the difference between getting through and getting stuck.
NOTE, you will need 4-5" between tyres to allow mud to clear. The 2nd thing is most dual spacers I have seen are at tyre bead depth so the duals will be prone to gumming up in thick mud. The spacer on my 178 was a small18" diameter and when in deep mud did not gum up between the tyres unless in very tacky clay.
I also recommend you upgrade your gates to 13' or better if they aren't already, as the tractor will be about 10' wide depending on the outside tyre width. It doesn't take very long to adapt to the extra width.

you will just need one set of wider wheels, no worries of loose nuts and the wear and tear of duels, no worries of rocks and mud bogging you down inbetween the two tires ect..
