This guy obviously doesn't realize hunting season is right around the corner. First saw him in our long driveway coming down to the house and he tried to 'hide" in some weeds and small brush. Not very effective as his antlers stood out above the grass. Then about an hour later while working at my home office, saw he was back munching some apples in the back yard. Took this skaky vid of him out the window. He saw me, but just stood there. Only ran way when i started walking toward him. Don't figure he'll be around many days after hunting season opens...

Nice to see them out. I seen a large buck tonight when I was out. He must be eating my field corn cause he was pretty built. He was a wall hanger for sure. Nice to see him, as till then I was only seeing small 6, 4, and spikes.

He's taunting you...knows very well when the season begins. I've seen it many times before- They walk around all proud and tall then, 5 minutes before first light on opening day...........

Now where to be seen!

Very nice to watch when you get the chance.

I would hope they would let him grow another year.

On opening day of bow season last year, I hunted the morning and came in the cabin for lunch. While watching a game, I saw a 6 pter grazing on grass 20 yards from the front door...opened the door slowly and hit him with the bow. Never had considered using the cabin as a stand, but its much more comfortable than one of my tree stands.

I don't know about knowing when the season kicks in, but they sure know when it ends. We allow hunters on the land and they get a few dozen each year - all for eating only. Then, just after the last bow season ends, you have these days when deer literally flock to open fields to graze... And party I guess. I have seen 18 at a time, mixed in with cows or sheep.

WOW....... didn't even need an arrow- I'm impressed!

Where I lived years ago, more than once I had deer within arrow range from my bedroom deck. Most of the time I saw them as I was getting ready for work.......
