I have run my 2210 into several situation that I have over loaded the FEL and the three point hitch and even the drive system. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I understand the basics of the system and that when the pressure is to much a relief valve opens, but when this does happen will it damage anything? The older tractors I have used you didn't stall the loader just raise the other end of the tractor /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif or if you had a ground implement diggin you would just spin the wheels. I am sure I have put the unit in situations outside the recomended limits but is this normal and if/when this happens what should I be concerned with? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Most of the other tractors have been gear tractors not Hydro.

I do not think you have hurt anything,I would not make it a habit of over lifting things,the relief valve could(MAYBE) become weakened maybe and start relieving sooner than it was designed too.
As far as the wheels spinning I would say as long as it breaks traction you are ok,if you had it in a position the wheels could not break traction I would be concerened about damaging something else.

I don't know a whole lot about hydraulics myself, but I believe that going into relief is fine; it is after all, what it was designed to do. The problem is that if you leave the hydraulics running through relief continuously for a while, the fluid temperature can rise, and bad things could eventually happen, but that takes much more time than simply stalling the loader. I'd say you're ok.

I agree with the heat build up. When in bypass the fluid travels very fast through a small orfice. It will gain temp fast. Just like in your car when you have it in drive and hold your foot on the gas and brake at same time.
Also when in bypass the pump is at its max. That would not be good after a while. I am sure it is not designed to be at max pressure all the time.
I also have done this condition but always remove some load as quick as possible. Per say when working with FEL ease off pedal or maybe reverse a little. I also have stalled drive train using BB.
