it wont hurt it a bit. we run the 1066 30miles a day hauling a mix wagon to another farm in the next county over. cant really say im easy on it either. the guys around here that do custom farming run their equipment all over the place too.

yeah this is corn country here and the farmers run the big tractors every where just wasnt sure on the little ones atleast the 335 has cruise.

I routinely drive my TC-29 5 miles to my farm on the paved highways and it takes me 20 minutes ..I have not bothered to use my trailer since by the time I load it and drive the 5 miels and unload it I can already be bush hogging...So the trailer would not save me time ...it would cost me time and I have been doing this for years and I have noticed no excessive tire wear...Go right ahead and just be careful..I bought some stick on mirrors for a few dollars in the bicycle department at Target and stuck them on the back of the uprights of my FEL so I can see what is coming up behind me..

I am running gravel all the way. Also i did get a smv sign. not alot of traffic.

No problem at all. It's probably a lot easier on the tractor to drive down smooth roads then rough, farm roads.

Make sure to be in 2 wheel drive. NEVER drive on pavement in 4x4 in dry conditions.

Where glasses or saftety goggles and think about a bandana for your face. Traffice that flies past you will kick up everything from small rocks to fine dust. While the rocks will do the most damage, the fine sand like dust will make life misserable is there is a fair amount of traffic on the road.

Be sure to have an orange triangle on the back of the tractor.

I do a trip quite often with my Mahindra and dump trailor. Load the equipt in the back and head out and enjoy the trip. My tractor has probably close to 100 road miles on it now and the 1000 hour mark is really close.My tires show very little wear from the road trips. Lot more fun than the pickup truck. Just make sure you have your SMV visible. My thought is if people dont realize a tractor is a SMV they need to get off the road! Enjoy your self. John

Not all states allow tractors on the road. In CT you have to have the tractor registered, and in order to register it you have to be a working farm, send in Income tax forms that prove you are a working farm. I am not too sure how sticky the police are on this issue, but that SMV alone will not cut it here.

If riding that sucka 10 miles on the road is a concern, then I'm disappointed. As long as its legal go for it. Like the others said, no 4x4, slow moving triangle and be safe. I routinely have mine driven by an employee thru the city when we have all trailers tied up. I know large dirt movers who move tractors on the road from Florida to north louisiana and more. If driving that tractor 10 miles on pavement hurts it then you need a new tractor and so do I!

Shouldn't hurt it at all, unless the problem you need maintenance for is in the drivetrain.

Don't run in 4WD, make sure you have that warning triangle on it, obey all traffic laws, yeild to/pull over for faster moving traffic.

I've run tractors down roads moving from one lot to the next with no problem. NH may have a requirement to register tractors as motor vehicles if you intend to do a lot of pavement running. In fact, I have a mentally handicapped neighbor up the road who's primary vehicle is a New Holland TC34 which he drives 5 miles on the road to his job each day. It's equipped with a light package and has his license plate mounted to his ROPS.

Up date on the trip to town. Was a great trip all gravel no traffic. Went in drill holes for fence was great also smoothed it all out with bucket. My tires have the little knobbs on them and after driving the 10 mile to town and back they are still there so very little tire wear.I have some pics of the cat at work my new phd worked great also.
