ok , I have some very Dumb questions , hoping those with an electrical background can help, and yes I can take some ribbing so feel free to poke fun if necessary. I am electrically challenged However I Been thinking about getting a 12 Volt Diesel Transfer Pump to help pump diesel from a Blitz diesel container into a BX25 (I dislike where filler cap is on BX25 and having to balance can for long period of time) but more importantly when I am away my wife cannot lift the Blitz container herself. So here's my dumb questions , Every small 12 volt transfer pump I see comes with battery jumper type cables (makes sense) . Yet right below the seat on the BX25 is a 12 volt liter adapter.
dumb question 1 -
Is there a liter adapter on the after Market that could be used to take advantage of this BX25 12 Volt adapter?
dumb question 2-
Is it safe to cut the jumper cables off the transfer pump and re-wire with an after market liter adapter (If their is one available). This would allow a person to plug the pump into the 12 v AUX adapter on the BX 25 right next to floor board and keep the Blitz container on the floor of the garage (no lifting)
The BX25 Literature has this warning "not to draw more than 120 watts from this circuit" . At present I do not know what lets say a small Tuthill transfer pump such as this draws. Tuthill Transfer FR1612 DC ROTARY VANE PUMP
I have looked online but only find specialty liter adapters for phones, ipods , computers etc.. cannot seem to find one that just has 2 exposed wires that could be used to power the transfer pump from the BX25 Liter adapter. (if safe)
what am I missing?
is such an adapter available?
is it safe to do ?
Electrical wiring is not my forte I readily admit. one of the hardest things I ever did was wire a 3 way house lighting switch which was difficult at best for me.
Any input provided would be greatly appreciated.
