Am toying with the idea of killing two birds with one stone and buying a dump trailer to haul my tractor and of course haul gravel, lumber, etc.. rather than a trailer and a dump truck.

Any idea of good pricing out thier and the viability of my idea?

The first thing I notice when googling is the max seems to be 14' or so..

In Mid-Michigan I see quite a few people hauling Bobcats in them. Most of them I've seen at dealers are 10-14' long. That may be a little short if you haul your tractor with an implement on it.

I have been looking at a 20' dump but can't find one with 14K capacity. the maufactures belive you will overload one. I would be using the dump for firewood and sawdust/shavings for the horses.

I have a 12 ft X 6 ft 8 inch low profile dump trailer made for skid steers. It worked well for my Ford 1920 tractor, even with a FEL and bush hog attached. The bucket hung out over the front of the 2 ft high front wall and rested on the battery/pump box. The tongue was long enough that you could still turn pretty sharp without the bucket hitting the truck tailgate. The front edge of the rear attachment would sit on the back edge of the trailer and hang out by most of its length. I used a red flag on the tail wheel of the bush hog. The walls of the cargo box make it a little awkward to chain down the tractor but the convenience of the dump feature more than made up for it. I haven't tried the new Kubota 4330 for fit yet.

Neat idea; wish I'd thought of it. Did a bit of searching and found one that says it's 16' long. Featherlite16'dump trailer I assume that is the box size rather than total length to include the hitch.

Mine's a 14ft - I've made about 30 trips with my JD 4110 in the last 4 weeks. With the FEL and tiller or BB it fits perfect - rear doors shut. I can also fit the FEL & BH if I turn the BH sideways (it's 16ft tip to tail if I leave the BH straight out). It is a pain to crawl around inside the box and get the tractor chained and locked down properly, seems like I'm always wacking a knee or elbow on something, but now that I have a 'system' for doing it I can be loaded and ready to roll in about 5 minutes. And without the tractor the trailer is very handy; yesterday dumped 3 tons of rotted PT wood at the transfer station from an old retaining wall and today dumped almost 6 tons (2 trips) of crushed stone in a backyard that the bigger dump truck couldn't fit.

I have a friend who got rid of his dump truck because of insurance costs. He bought a Dodge 3500 and then purchased a BigTex dump trailer. It's a goose-neck 20', 20K capacity. He hauls his Kabota excavator etc. and material with it. This trailer just might be what you're looking for.
