I'm building another trailer, 6x10' and I want it to be a single axle dump tailer with 4000 lb capacity. I don't want to spend $600.00 on the hydrolic system so, what about making a tilt trailer where the main hinge pins are right in front of the front leaf spring hanger, which would be 5' from the front and 5' from the back therefore, making this 10' length from the ball to the pivot point on the trailer? Then, when you want it to dump, all you do is tilt the back of the trailer to the ground, get back into the truck and back the truck up which would push the bed vertical to dump everything out, making the main hinge pins 5' off the ground. This is about the maximum angle that the ball coupler will be able to move on the ball. IS THIS A CRAZY IDEA OR DOES SOMEONE THINK THIS WILL ACTUALLY WORK??
