I have this nearly finished. It started out life as a 58 ford f-600 and after the last million miles it ended up a trailer. I put the extension to haul grain.I have had 9 ton of rock on it before the changeover to trailer status.I have yet to try it out as a trailer. I did pull it around the block empty to see how it pulled. I added the front axle last week and I still have to finish the air over hydraulic brakes. Both axles have the original hydraulic brake setup I added the oe master cylinder in the frame rail pushed by a air brake piston off the front of a 64 gmc tractor truck. I have an 12v solenoid double valve to control the brakes from the truck with a pushbutton and a toggle switch. I have an air tank off another truck mounted on the tongue for the brakes. The first tests show it needs less than 50 lbs of air to stop the trailer.Sliding the tires when empty. And barely any air volume. I still have to find a regulator so I can adjust how much brakes it applies..The original pto driven hoist is powered by a starter motor and V belt. The front axle is mounted 3/4 inch higher than the rear and the front axle does not have the over load pads installed, this is to give tongue weight when loaded. I'll try to post some follow ups after I haul the first load with it hopefully next week.
