The hydraulics on my DX 40 has been acting funny. It feels like it's sputtering, like it's low on fluid but it's not. It's most noticeable in the steering. It feels like it's running out of fluid or pumping air some of the time.
Recently I can feel it in the loader too. Same thing, feels like it's running out of fluid and pumping air part of the time.
Before this started I heard a strange noise coming from the area of the hydraulic pump. It's hard to explain what it sounded like. It only lasted for a second or two and sounded like something was slipping or stripping. It happened several times.
Do the pumps need to be rebuilt occasionally. Is there a kit to do this job or does it need to go to the dealer. Thanks in advance.
