Water in fuel?

My '06 DX26 HST also has the spill collar around the thru-hood filler neck. Problem is when plant/tree duff/seeds/husks
block the collar's drain hole and snow-melt/rainwater then pools around the bottom of the vented cap. When cooler conditions contract the airspace in the tank the water is
siphoned in under the cap's lip & in through the vent. Three times for me in as many years.

but no more.

Prevention tip: I keep a plastic grocery bag folded or wadded over the whole cap & collar to divert rainwater away from the cup, and the closed hood holds it in place 'til I fill again

I'd as soon hack or remove the spill collar, but I'd also hate to ruin the resale value by altering its pure stock sweetness.
Anyway, my past & present 'pets' were/are two NH Shibauras besides the Case/IH and I prefer them to
almost any other maker. My 7308 and and 110TL loaders have been similarl to the CIH 130 (rather light duty) but I bought a 48" vs any wider grapple and you'd never know it. IMO these tractor models are light for hp like many Kubos but don't suffer for it, & stability is decent with the conservative FEL lift capacity.
Tho' I'd love to find a DX 35, 40, or 45 there just aren't many on the used market, & I'd have the OP's potential DX33 if I found it as well equipped for that price, condition, and
with the preferred HST & SSQA. That said IMO the 6' slasher is kind of at the limit of what I'd use for any but light field cutting with the 1.5L but might a 'best' between the 1.3L & 1.7L Shibaura 3 cyls I've put the most hours on. If you bought it, enjoy it! t o g
