E-Bay tractors

I don't know anything about this guy, but it appears he is wanting to collect a bunch of money from customers then place an order. He's probably an honest guy, but that would worry me to have to wait 8 weeks.

If you are going to sell tractors, you need to put them in your inventory before you offer them for sale. It's expensive to do so, but it indicates to the customer that you have a substantial investment and plan to stick around.

the old saying---too good to be true???
can you imagine sending somebody, anybody that kind of money, waiting 8 - 10 weeks, and then hearing maybe it might be another 4 - 6 weeks? and imagine the numbers if 10, 20, or 30 people did the same thing!!?? easy to deal, buy, sell in small dollar items on e-bay, to get a feedback, then quammy on thousands! i don't know the guy at all, and wish him all the luck in the world, but he certainly must know it don't look too good to a lot of us!

Hello,

I am the one with these tractors on Ebay. I appreciate everyone's input. I also understand some of your comments and concerns. I would like to take this opportunity to address some of these comments.

First I am not a tractor expert, nor do claim I to be. I am a wholesaler. I have been in wholesale for several years now. I am 40 years old. I was in the Marine Corps for 4 years. If I would have stayed in, I would have retired this past Feb. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Wow! I Have been living in the same town for more than 12 years now. Most of my family has been in this area for a lot longer than this.

One of the previous post stated I am collecting lots of money and ordering these tractors at one time. This is true. That is how I can offer these low prices. You can read a common Q and A list on my "About Me" page. I have my phone # and e-mail address listed on My Ebay Store front page if anyone wants to contact me.

If you look at my ID card with Ebay you will see I have been a member for almost 2 years now. I am an honest person. I am not trying to scam anyone. It is true I am just starting out in tractors. Again, this is why I have the prices as low as the are. To generate business. Everyone has to start somewhere. However, like I said I understand some peoples concerns.

I will have some tractors in after the first of the year. If anyone wants to come check them out please do so. If you have any other questions, please e-mail me. I do not check this list that often.

Thanks,
Stoney

Stoney,

Good of you to respond in a kind manner when some would see the above posts (including mine) as a challenge to your integrity.

Sounds like you are a solid guy and I wish you well.

Im not sure If you have landed any tractors in the states yet,You might want to adjust your delivery time,Even though most factories state 45 days, from my experiance a few have taken 65 days to be delivered, most were at 80-100 days, Just be prepared for anxious customers, How are you getting in the 50-100 hp tractors? Best of luck

well stoney, it was great to see you come on and explain yourself. you truly sound like a very decent, honest person, and credentials are well taken. as you said, you are just getting into the chinese tractor 'wholesaling' business, and i certainly wish you luck in your business. but, i personally think with your low profit margin, and extended promises, you might get off to a bad start in the tractor business. i certainly may be wrong entirely, too, ?? but it just seems like dealers, such as myself, that put out $50k or more at one time, for one shipment, for tractors in stock, assembled, on the lot, ready for delivery, shows a little more devotion and appears to the public buyer that we will be here if and when needed. but then again, maybe i been going at it all wrong!! if i could get every customer to pre-pay me, and accept a crated tractor, sight unseen, and guarantee them money back if they don't like it, (by the way, if they return it, do they need to un-assemble it, or what) i'd jump on the bandwagon in a heartbeat. maybe you've found something the rest of us have overlooked.
but anyway, welcome aboard, and keep us posted on how things work out.
