I do not have the automotive style cruise option on my 4120, just the basic cruise, but I discovered quite by accident that while traveling with the cruise on if you rock the switch to the on position it will slow the tractor speed by 10% every time you toggle it. I have found nothing in the manual about this nor was there anything in the dvd that came with the tractor. Just curious if anyone else discovered this or if anyone has seen this information published somewhere.

Yes, I have noticed that on my 4720 as well. Never seen it in a manual.

Rocking the cruise switch should change the speed up or down down in .1 mph increments, atleast that is how mine works with the automotive cruise. I use this feature the most when tilling to find the best speed for the given field at hand. That would be much less than a 10% change and works the same whether I am running 1.2 mph or 14 mph.

With the standard cruise you can only slow down not speed up and it is a percentage. Seems to be close to 10%. I use this often when running the haybine to slow down for heavy areas without having to reset the cruise. I'm surprised that this function is not described in the manual anywhere. With the automotive cruise isn't there a separate toggle switch for accel/decel? With the standard cruise you have to use the same toggle that turns the cruise on and off. That's why you can only slow down. If you toggle the switch the other way it would just turn off the cruise.

It was four years ago when I installed the automotive cruise in my 4520 but I do remember that it involved removing one switch and adding three new ones. One for auto throttle, one new cruise switch and one other that might be load match?
