If you have an Eagle safety can.........

The good (non-safety) spout on my plastic can finally broke and I think I may get a metal Eagle brand can with the funnel that attaches to the can. With my old can and spout I was able to rest the edge of can with the spout inserted into filler on the filler lip to take some of the weight of the 5 gallons of fuel off me holding it at chest height (rear fuel tank behind seat). Is the funnel for the Eagle can snapped on securely enough to the can to do this with a bit a care?
I think to do this I also may need to chop some of the funnel off so it doesn't bottom out on the filter screen that's in the filler neck.

My biggest complaint with my metal cans is the funnels collect dirt. I’ve nearly stopped using them because of this. My VP cans that technically aren’t fuel cans to avoid the EPA crap are my preferred choice in cans. The eagle brand funnels are pretty sturdy but they’re not flexible at the mount so it’s natural position is what you get.

I've had eagle and just-rite cans go with just rite can with 5/8 nozzle.

I have Eagle and justrite cans. The justrite funnels are a little better about not splattering out but the Eagle funnels are sturdier and I like the Eagles handles better.

I also use VP jug and added a valve inline for fast shut off and so I can get everything positioned before flow begins. :)

I like the Midwest can (formerly Blitz) and the Hi-Flow spouts. They work great for water...ahem...well, you know.

The Midwest can:

The Hi-Flo spout for water jugs. The listing says white but I received black ones. These are great because you can put on the optional extension tube so you reduce the chances of spilling liquid. Emptying a can is also fast with these since they're 7/8" spouts.

I did not know that. I'll have to take a look for that. Thanks......

I think the metal spout cans would be better, but they cost twice as much as the funnel option or a VP can.
