Hey John, nice buy!:thumbsup: I think I saw that tractor on craigslist once before. A 9N in Wills Point seems to ring a bell, but the price you got on it is almost salvage/scrap prices.

Yeah Jim, I think I did alright for prices I see around here. My wife had to talk me into looking at it...says I need a hobby. I sure do love that woman!

I got a Fedex delivery from Tisco via Glemco today. Two new rear rims and rim bolts, new 19" front rims, an IT shop manual and a few other pieces. Waiting on another delivery of 4.00x19" front tires and tubes all-around.

The front 15" wheels were just plain goofy and the rear wheels have a bit of rust and were getting pretty thin around the valve stem holes. They would have been ok for an everyday worker, but I have other plans for the 9N.

Now, as soon as I finish up my room addition, re-roof the house, finish the storm cellar, regrade the front yard, and rewire and paint my GN trailer...I can get started on my new project! :thumbsup:

thin around the valve stem? that's what fender washers are for.. IE.. heat and beat them to fit.. weld in.. grind, prime and paint..

i'd do it as a backup spare, even if it never works a day in it's life.

Drill a NEW valve stem hole somewhere else around the rim where metal is in better shape, and then weld OLD hole shut...grind smooth and paint.
