BX2200, bought June 2000
I have seen many threads about BX2200 lighting improvements, but haven't seen a solid answer about auxiliary LED lights. I bought my BX2200 in 2000, so later models probably have different power supplies?
I tried LED bulbs in the "headlight" sockets and they flickered constantly, they were unusable. If that flickering was because of the power supply, is there any hope in trying the Harbor Freight Roadshock add-on LED lights?

Good question... I was thinking the same thing as I got a BX2200...

If you have the dynamo for charging there is a possibility that they are feeding half wave DC or maybe even AC to the lights and the other half of the wave is going for battery charge. May need to upgrade to the 40amp alternator.

^ Forgot about that. Yes, I just got the dynamo.

I am thinking of getting the alternator, but I plan on upgrading the machine... so, eh.. lol

As an FYI, the BX's dynamo charging system produces 12-14vDC @ upto 14 amps. The dynamo is a very simple alternator that utilizes permanent magnets and it uses an external voltage regulator/rectifier to supply DC voltage to recharge the battery and run the tractor's electrics.
