I've got a 2005 DK55C and pulled it out to check it over and noticed oil all down the left side of the under carriage. I opened the hood and pulled the sided panels and noticed a plastic or hard rubber plug under the alternator just barely in the hole(see picture) with oil all around. Upon inspection the stopper was uncomfortably loose even all the way in.
Called the dealer and none of his units have this plug under the alternator. Apparently this is a oil filler point on older units - I had used the one on top of the engine.
Anyway, I took my stopper down and tried it on the dealer's DK 55 and it was loose there as well(although his was pretty tight). Maybe mine was a hair small or had shrunk with heat and age, I don't know. I thought it was just missing a gasket or seal. They don't have them so I got a couple of grommets and it was too tight with two but seemed to be snug with just one.
Those of you with older DKs or with this style of plug may want to check them.
