I am considering purchasing an Earth and Turf plow model 1sc600 for a Kubota. Does anyone own one and what is your experience with it? It clamps on to the bucket.
Thanks,
Debra
Debra, welcome to TractorbyNet. I have not used the plow you mentioned. I have a B7500 and would never again use anything that clamps on my bucket. I used a friend's homemade forks and that ended up putting a couple of nice dents in the bottom of my bucket. Not sure exactly how this blade connects to the bucket but it might cause a problem under adverse conditions. I do use a snow plow that connects directly on my loader arms. I adapted the plow myself but there are manufacturers out there, like Curtis, that sell plow blades that mount directly to the loader, no bucket. You will have better control with the blade closer to the tractor. The front end of our B7500s don't weigh much and this becomes a problem when the blade is angled trying to push a good snow load. A blade in front of the bucket will just add to the leverage that wants to move the front tires off course. It also increases your turning radius which may or may not be a problem for you. I have chains on front and back but that doesn't really help this situation.
Thank you. After reading your note I decided against purchasing the plow. The Youtube video was impressive but I still had doubts. Thanks for the advice.
