I need to scrape off the undersides of my push mowers frequently or remove and sharpen the blades. If you have a 12-20 inch long section of 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe, hammer it into the ground until an inch or two sticks up, then pull it out and remove the dirt that is packed into it, then reinsert it into the hole. Then get a long sturdy wood rod and cut it to length if needed, the one I use is the handle from an old snow shovel. It sticks up from my pipe about 24 inches and is the perfect height to prop up the front of my push mowers.
Just be sure the pipe you have in the ground is buried deep enough your mower blade doesn't hit it.
