I have a Branson 3820 with 240 hours on it, I have put 4 clutch sets in it. The longest they will last is 20 hours. It is always the PTO clutch disc that goes out. Even pulled the PTO shaft and changed the two bearings on the shaft. I have spent thousands of dollars and a year and a half trying to fix this, I am at a lost ready to use it for a lawn decoration. Can anyone help?

I would hope it's still in warranty. 4 clutches in 240 hours is incredible (unless you're an incredibily bad operator!).

Are you the only operator? Do you ride the clutch (or even rest your foot on the pedal)?
I can't even guess what could cause this kind of premature wear, but I'd definitely be contacting the dealer and keep going up the food chain until you get satisfaction.

Roy has pretty much hit it. Only other thought I have is check the linkage adjustments, make sure there is a little free play when fully engaged so discs are not slipping slightly.

Ditto to Roy! I'd be standing on my dealer with both feet! That's just crazy!!!
