Edger

This might not be the right forum to put this in but anyway was thinking about a pin on to side of bucket on FEL that has a arm with a disc or blade attached with a bearing mount that I could use for edger to go down and cut grass at concrete driveway. I have a long drive way:cool2:

What's the plan for powering it?...fabricating a bracket to mount a stand alone edger?...fabricating a mount for a hydraulic motor?...the available power will depend on your tractor's hyd. GPM...

No plan to power it would roll like a disc place right by edge of concrete driveway put some down pressure on it with loader and just drive hopeful it will roll and cut grass that is growing over driveway.

Agri supply carries a disc hiller that might work for you. it would be pretty easy to adapt for what you want to do. here is a picture of it.

they also make a disk with a serrated edge. now that you started this I already have one, I think I will try it attached to my grapple. they make a bolt on kit for them.

I would think you would want a flat disk, like a plow coulter, a dished disk will throw the dirt to the side instead of a straight cut. ~~ Lowell

If you get that edger built, I sure hope you post pictures. Sounds like an interesting project. My current property is small enough that I edge it with my Stihl string trimmer, since I keep it edged. But I also have the edger attachment for my Mantis tiller, so if I have a really tough one to do, that'll do it.
