I made a serious mistake while reading the instructions on the beer cooler. I laughed, too much, and my wife wanted to know what tickled me so much. Mistake 2, I told her. I'm now forbidden to build a jet engined beer cooler. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

That link was sent to me a few years ago -- I wasn't sure it would still be active. I don't know who found it first, but it circulated among propane dealers. There was another one about a university professor who staged an annual bbq grill lighting with liquid oxygen, but that was taken down because his university threatened him...

AHH HAA! A Clue!

Side by side model, stuff still frozen in the freezer side bottom but thawing up top. Sounds like a circulation problem.

Unloaded everything, removed the access cover from the back of the freezer to expose the coils. A piece of ice had somehow gotten behind the cover and blocked the internal circulation fan. The coils had subsequently frozen to a solid brick.

Maybe the defrost switch not working, don't know. Thawed out, cleaned out, got my fingers crossed. So far so good.

Hey Egon, I sure appreciate the offer, however I was able to take immediate corrective action with a cooler and ice to save the brew.

The bride's groceries didn't fair as well though /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

A man's got to have his priorities..........

Hey guys, this actually worked out doggone good!

I got the fridge fixed on Sunday morning. The bride cooked all the thawed stuff, now she's away for 4 days and I'm home alone, eatin like a king
