EGT, Temp, Fuel Guages

I've searched and really haven't found anything on TBN.

Has anyone added gauges to there tractor to monitor it better.
EGT, Trans Temp, Engine Temp, or Fuel Pressure?
Also, those with turbos, Boost gauge?

I have no plans to mod or bomb the tractor,
but I am thinking about adding a EGT gauge come Spring.

You'll find that your local Cat dealer will have all kinds of engine gauges that can handle weather. Also, truck dealers (Peterbilt, Kenworth, etc.) might have some, but they are probably more designed for in-cab installations.

Why do you want to monitor exhaust temp? It seems that only turbo engines tend to have pyrometers.

Just curious.

But seeing the actual #'s would be interesting, especially while brush hogging or finish mowing. I know my shoes and front shins get awful toasty while mowing for 4 hrs in 95 deg weather from the heat blowing back from the motor. Also, let me know how the hydro is running to. I seems to run pretty warm when the pto is going full steam.

More curiosity than anything, I was hoping someone may have been-there-done that.

There's really no reason to put them on a compact tractor or subcompact tractor. These tractors don't make enough horsepower to hurt themselves. They also have governors on them to prevent over revving.

If you're talking about the big tractors then yes I have those gauges on my big tractors.

Why would you want to add egt to your tractor if you don't have a turbo?
